Prospect Mountain
Enjoy a relaxing hike up Prospect Mountain, located just
minutes from our Lake George motel. Witness gorgeous views
of the Adirondacks of New York, Green Mountains of Vermont,
White Mountains of New Hampshire and more! You can also see
Lake George Village. The climb to the summit is not
difficult making it the perfect trail for kids! The red
markers make this Adirondack hiking trail easy to follow as
well. Don't forget to pack a lunch and have a picnic on the
summit!
The Prospect Mountain trail begins near the Village making
it the closest Adirondack hiking trail to our Lake George
motel.
You can also hike up French Mountain which is located
just up the road from our motel!
Black Mountain
Don’t miss out on the spectacular views seen from the top of
Black Mountain! Take in panoramic sights of Vermont’s Green
Mountains, Lake George, Lake Champlain, the Hudson Valley
and the Adirondacks from the summit which soars
2,300 feet above the lake.
Located on the east shore of Lake George, this Adirondack
hiking trail is 2.75 miles. The trail starts at Black
Mountain Point and follows up to Black Mountain Brook before
you begin the steep climb up to the fire observation tower!
There are many different trail and loop options available
for this hike. One of the more interesting hiking trails is
found off of Pine Brook Road which is 1,046 feet of climbing
through pleasant woods and ponds.
Five Mile Mountain
Climb part of the Tongue Mountain range, a peninsula that
juts into Lake George and enjoy stunning views of the lake
and mountains! This Adirondack hiking trail is well maintained with a
moderate difficulty level. The trail begins near Hague NY,
which is just a quick drive from our Lake George motel.
To get to the trailhead, take the Adirondack Northway North
to Exit 24. Take a right onto Bolton Landing-Riverbank Road.
Turn left onto Route 9N and travel for about 9.5 miles.
Whichever trail you choose, you will discover gorgeous views
of the Adirondacks and a wonderful wilderness experience you
and your family will cherish for a lifetime. |
